NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – On the Defenders of Fatherland and Armed Forces Day employees of the State Secretariat of the Security Council led by State Secretary Aleksandr Volfovich and representatives of the Defense Ministry headed by Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin laid flowers at the Victory Monument, BelTA has learned.
This year, 23 February marks the 105th anniversary of the Belarusian Armed Forces. According to Aleksandr Volfovich, the Defenders of Fatherland and Armed Forces Day is a holiday not only for the military, but also for the entire Belarusian people. “It is a symbol of the strong spirit of the Belarusian people who are always ready to lend a hand to officers and soldiers in any difficult situation. Therefore, today's attempts to distort our history and speculate on this day of military glory are doomed to failure,” the state secretary of the Security Council said.
