MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) - A delegation of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs headed by Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda is on an official visit to Belarus, BelTA learned from Belarus’ Internal Affairs Ministry.

Belarusian Internal Affairs Minister Ivan Kubrakov emphasized that maintaining public order is the foundation for the development of all key sectors, including the economy. “I thank you for constructive cooperation in combating crime. Our joint efforts are already yielding concrete results. We are ready to share our experience in organizing the work of traffic police. We have extensive expertise in fighting organized crime and drug trafficking. Studying your special units operating in border areas is of particular interest to us,” he stressed.

Ramazon Rahimzoda noted that a personal visit by Ivan Kubrakov to Tajikistan served as an impetus for developing cooperation, especially in the field of criminal investigation. “We are impressed by the technical solutions used by our Belarusian colleagues in their daily work. Belarus’ experience in combating cybercrime and organizing the work of various units with UAVs is of great interest. The problem of drug and arms trafficking remains relevant. An exchange of expertise in these areas will be mutually beneficial,” the minister said.

The parties outlined new areas of cooperation, including training Tajikistan’s colleagues in Belarusian universities and conducting joint exercises in both countries.

In the Department of Security, the delegation visited the National Center for Monitoring, Management, and Information Security, where guests were shown the operation of integrated systems in real time. Demonstration performances by canine units received high praise. Tajikistan’s police leadership also visited the Minsk City Executive Committee’s Main Internal Affairs Directorate, including the traffic police department. They inspected the material and technical base of the units and familiarized themselves with the organization of their service activities.
