Kyoto to join Belarusian-Japanese cultural events

MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) – Kyoto plans to participate in Belarusian-Japanese cultural events, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Japan.

“Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Japan Ruslan Yesin is on a working trip to Kansai on 29-31 July. He has met with Kyoto Mayor Daisaku Kadokawa. The parties discussed the possibility for Kyoto to take part in Belarusian-Japanese cultural events, including the future tour of the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater,” the Belarusian embassy said.

The parties also discussed Kyoto's participation in youth exchanges between Belarus and Japan as soon as the epidemiological situation is back to normal. Inter-regional economic cooperation was also on the agenda of the meeting.

The Belarusian ambassador is expected to meet with representatives of the authorities and business of the cities of Kobe and Osaka on 30-31 July.
