MINSK, 30 December (BelTA) - Work on preparation of the tenth Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia has already begun, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova said during a meeting of the Council of Elders in Minsk on 29 December, BelTA has learned.
"This year's Forum of Regions was quite a success, in my opinion. We spent the last two years videoconferencing. This year we gathered more than 1,000 participants in Grodno who signed agreements and contracts worth RUB 65 billion or Br2.5 billion. We hosted 14 governors. Valentina Matviyenko [Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation] gave the forum a very high assessment. The next tenth forum will be held in Ufa. The organizing committee has already been set up and work has begun on the preparation of this forum," Natalya Kochanova said.
