In Pictures: Sober Run in Grodno

GRODNO, 1 January (BelTA) – The traditional Sober Run took place in Grodno on 1 January. The event brought together more than 500 runners. “The healthy lifestyle is gaining more and more popularity. This race is a good way to show that 1 January can be spent in a healthy way, in a nice cheerful company,” remarked Pavel Kasperovich, a priest in the Grodno Eparchy of the Belarusian Orthodox Church and one of the organizers of the event. He emphasized that the participants of the race are people of different age groups, fields of activity, coming from different cities.

The venue for the race remained the same. The participants were offered to cover a distance of 4.3km along the "health path" in the Pyshki public park. The desire to take part in the race is valued way more than being the first to cross the finishing line.

The race is organized to promote the healthy lifestyle and to involve various population groups into physical activity and mass sports.
