MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – The public should be aware of the recent trends and achievements in science, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov said, BelTA has learned.
The Intellectual Belarus exhibition was held in Minsk in the run-up to the Day of Belarusian Science upon the instruction of the head of state. The expo was a large-scale showcase event for the latest developments and achievements of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, other organizations, including the Education Ministry, the Healthcare Ministry, the Industry Ministry, and the State Committee for Science and Technology. The exhibition drew a lot of visitors.

“We have managed to show the most striking and significant results of the national science over the recent period. The expo was obviously a huge draw. It aroused a huge interest and received a very positive feedback, so it was extended for a week. Now it will travel across the regions. We have something to show, we have something to be proud of. We must present our developments to the general public. The public should know what science is about, what scientists do, what results they achieve,” Vladimir Gusakov emphasized.

According to him, when developing the concept of the Intellectual Belarus exhibition, the organizers tried to include as much as possible into its program. “This includes artificial intelligence, microelectronics, military science, science in industry, biotechnology, agricultural technology, and medical science. Particular attention is given to developments of young scientists,” he said.
