GRODNO, 24 April (BelTA) – Grodno police delivered a batch of 1,000 protective suits to the Grodno Oblast Infectious Diseases Hospital on 24 April, BelTA has learned.
The decision to help the frontline doctors was taken at the officers' meeting.

“We decided to use the funds to purchase personal protective equipment for medical professionals. Today, we delivered 1,000 anti-epidemic overalls. By doing this we would like to thank all medical workers for their selfless work,” said Deputy Head of the Interior Department of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee Igor Genets. In his words, the police also help medics by checking if people observe the self-isolation rules.

“We value the support of indifferent people, organizations and enterprises. Constant help, attention and care give us confidence and help us to concentrate on our work,” Sergei Tikhonovich, Chief Doctor of Grodno Oblast Infectious Diseases Hospital said as he expressed gratitude to the police officers. He stressed that today the hospital has everything necessary, but personal protective equipment is an expendable material, and such support is always needed.
