Grand Prix of Vitebsk 2016 children's song contest goes to Anastasia Gladilina from Russia

VITEBSK, 19 July (BelTA) – Anastasia Gladilina from Russia won the Grand Prix of the 14th International Children's Song Contest Vitebsk 2016 held as part of the 25th International Arts Festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA has learned.

The Russian singer was honored with a special prize and the Grand Prix winner's diploma.

Belarus' Anastasia Zhabko got the first prize, a special prize and a diploma.

The second prize was awarded to Katerina Manuzina from Ukraine and Tina Ruseva from Macedonia who also received special prizes and diplomas. The third prize of the children's song contest was conferred on Nela Zhakova from the Czech Republic and Ramina Sarmurzina from Kazakhstan. Russia's Anastasia Gladilina and Belarus' Anastasia Zhabko also got special prizes from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State.

Vitebsk Concert Hall hosted events of the international children's song contest on 16 and 17 July. Competing for the main prize were 20 kids aged 9 to 13 from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Montenegro, the Czech Republic and Estonia.

Their performances were evaluated by an international jury headed by Honored Artist of Belarus Viktor Babarikin, the art director and chief conductor of the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus.
