MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Belarus' national digital pavilion has been opened on the Chinese online platform Douyin (an analog of the video hosting service TikTok), representatives of the Belarusian embassy in China told BelTA.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Yuri Senko took part in the opening ceremony. The diplomat presented Belarusian products live on stream.
Over 1.3 million Douyin users watched the stream over the course of one hour. Meanwhile, sales of Belarusian chocolate and snacks exceeded 900,000 Chinese yuans or about $135,000.
The product range is constantly growing larger and will soon include dairy products, confectionery, alcohol products, and cosmetics from Belarus, the embassy noted.
