Experts to discuss digital transformation of Belarusian education

MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) –Minsk will host the second international conference Digital Transformation of Education DTE-2019 on 27 March. The conference will discuss technology trends, digital competencies of the future, online learning platforms, IT education prospects in Belarus, and other relevant topics. The experts will exchange ideas and experience, propose plans for digital transformation of the Belarusian education, BelTA has learned from the organizers of the event.

The conference will bring together Belarusian and foreign experts who will elaborate on productive solutions to improve the transformation process in education. The speakers at the DTE-2019 will include head of e-Services Department of the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research Andres Aaremaa; customer consultant at Elsevier and researcher at the Center for Science and Technology Studies of Leiden University, the Netherlands, Dmitry Kochetkov; executive director of the Republican Public Association “Information Society” Sergei Yenin; the leading specialists of the Main Information and Analytical Center of the Belarusian Education Ministry; and other recognized experts in the digital transformation of education.

“Andres Aaremaa will speak about the results of the IT introduction into Estonia's education system and assess the possibility to use Estonia's experience in the CIS. Dmitry Kochetkov will speak about digital tools of analysis and will comment on the publications of Belarusian scientists. Sergei Yenin will reveal the major factors of successful digital transformation of education. Pavel Lis, head of the Main Information and Analytical Center of the Belarusian Education Ministry and head of the Information Technology and Information Security Department of the center Maksim Bogatko will tackle the strategic questions about the IT integration into education, speak about the forming of the national education environment and ways to ensure cybersecurity in Belarus' educational institutions,”the organizers said.

The aim of the DTE is to outline productive strategies of integration of Belarus' education into the world's innovation process.

The event is organized by the Belarusian Education Ministry and its Main Analytical Center.
