MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – Publications about the 2nd European Games went on display at the 89th Lisbon Book Fair in Portugal, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.
On the sidelines of the book fair Director of Narodnaya Asveta Publishing House Viktoriya Kalistratova and Director of the Pachatkovaya Shkola Publishing House Olga Vanina held a presentation of the books highlighting the Year of Native Land, the 75th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from the Nazis and the 2nd European Games in Minsk.
Negotiations were held with the Portuguese publishers Kalandraka, Leya (academic books), and the Institute of Books that allocates grants to foreign publishers to publish books of Portuguese authors. A meeting was also held with representatives of the Portuguese Association of Publishers and Booksellers, the organizer of the book fair.
Lisbon Book Fair is designed to promote education and knowledge through books and reading. Lisbon Book Fair is one of the main cultural events in Portugal. Most of the books are in Portuguese but there are also books in English, Russian and Belarusian languages.More about Society
