Eurasian Forum in Verona to pay tribute to 75th anniversary of Victory

MOSCOW, 23 September (BelTA) - The 13th Eurasian Forum in Verona, which is scheduled to take place in the Italian city on 22-23 October, will host a series of events to mark the 75th anniversary of the Victory, President of the Association Conoscere Eurasia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banca Intesa Antonio Fallico told a press conference on 23 September, BelTA has learned.

“This year the forum will be held in an unusual format from all points of view, not only organizational and sanitary ones. It will not be limited to two days of economic dialogue. We will discuss another topic that still affects our lives. In 2020, we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in World War II. We cannot forget about this. In the two days leading up to the forum, on 20 and 21 October, we will host a number of events that will be devoted to such an important date for all mankind,” Antonio Fallico said.

Plans are in place to unveil a monument to the Soviet partisan soldier killed near Verona by the Nazis on 25 April 1945, the day of the liberation of Italy, Antonio Fallico noted. The program of the forum will feature a symposium of scientists, an exhibition dedicated to the war, screenings of war films and a concert of Soviet songs with the participation of Turetsky Choir art group.
