
MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) – The oblast administrations and the Minsk City Executive Committee will organize annual drills on 28 February – 3 March to improve the cohesion of territorial defense control bodies in accordance with the Belarusian army training plan for the year 2023, the Belarusian Defense Ministry press service told BelTA.
The drills are supposed to improve the level of training and cohesion of territorial defense control bodies with regard to their ability to set up territorial defense troops. Over the course of four days all the administrative districts will host theoretical and practical classes for officials of municipal administrations and military registration and enlistment offices, administrations of mobilization resource rally points. The availability and storage conditions of existing supplies of material resources will be checked as well.
The Defense Ministry press service noted that close attention will be paid to the training of people subject to military service, who will turn up for a one-day drill to learn about basics and standard operating procedures for setting up territorial defense troops.
