MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Reports about the participation of Belarus' Armed Forces in the special military operation in Donbass are fake news, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Minister's Aide for Ideology, Major-General Leonid Kasinsky.
According to the source, Belarusian army units remain in their permanent bases and carry out assigned missions in accordance with the training program.
A number of measures are being taken to reinforce parts of the Belarusian border in order to prevent sabotage and reconnaissance units from infiltrating into the country and stop attempts to smuggle weapons and ammunition.
A number of units of Belarus' Armed Forces are busy taking measures to improve combat readiness in order to rule out a surprise attack.
