Deer found dead at Belarusian border due to razor wire cuts

MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – A Belarusian border service patrol found a dead deer near the border in Verkhnedvinsk District, Vitebsk Oblast, the State Border Committee of Belarus told BelTA.

According to the source, the animal had fatally cut itself while trying to get over Latvian razor wire. A total of 38 dead animals killed by dangerous barriers of the European Union have been found in Belarus since September 2021.
