“Taking into account the proposals of representatives of interested ministries and departments of the CSTO member states there have been discussed command-staff, special and joint training exercises featuring the CSTO forces and resources of intelligence, logistics, collective rapid response forces, collective aviation forces, peacekeeping forces, as well as the collective rapid deployment forces of the Central Asian region. Issues related to training the operational staff of the CSTO Crisis Response Center and national bodies authorized to interact with it, measures of joint training of military personnel and international military cooperation with non-CSTO member states and other international organizations have also been considered,” the spokesman said.

The event was held under the general supervision of Major General Sergey Kuprik, Acting Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff. Attending the event were representatives of interested ministries and agencies of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, the CSTO Secretariat and the Joint Staff.

“The activities envisaged in the plan are aimed at improving the preparedness of the forces and resources of the CSTO collective security system to carry out tasks.
