MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – Establishing a dialogue and cooperation with China for the sake of preserving security and stability in the region is on the agenda of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), CSTO Press Secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told TASS.
The CSTO press secretary said: “We believe that CSTO-China cooperation should be established on the basis of universally recognized principles of international law and in compliance with goals and principles of the UN Charter and the CSTO Charter.”
According to Vladimir Zainetdinov, the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization welcomes the statement China President Xi Jinping made during negotiations with President of Russia Vladimir Putin on 15 December. China's leader expressed Beijing's intention to continue flexible and multifaceted cooperation with Russia and other CSTO countries for the sake of preserving security and stability in the region.
