CIS members to discuss information policy in border security in Moscow on 28 March

MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – The international conference on the CIS information policy in the field of border security will be held in Moscow on 28 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The forum will be part of the activities laid out in the CIS cooperation program for strengthening border security for 2021-2025. The conference is organized by the CIS Council of Border Troops Commanders. Its goal is to develop approaches to information policy in border security based on the existing expertise and implementation practices in the CIS countries.

The event will be hosted by the Coordination Service of the CIS Council of Border Troops Commanders. The program of the conference will include a plenary session, a round table and thematic sections on the essence and content of the CIS information policy in the field of border security.

The conference will be attended by leading specialists, experts and scientists from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, the Council of Heads of National Security Enforcement Agencies and Special Services, the Anti-Terrorism Center, the Bureau for Coordination of Combating Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crime, the Committee of Law Enforcement Units of the Council of Heads of National Customs Authorities, the Mir Interstate Television and Radio Company and the CSTO Secretariat.

On the sidelines of the forum, the experts will study photo and video materials about the activities of the border agencies of the CIS states, the CIS Council of Border Troops Commanders and its permanent working body - the Coordination Service.

The participants of the conference are to adopt a resolution aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation in shaping the CIS information policy in the field of border security taking into account national and common interests.
