MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) - The events of the CIS IPA traditionally embody openness and sincere engagement, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova said during the 55th plenary session of the CIS IPA in St. Petersburg, BelTA has learned.

"The CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly sessions are a truly important event in the life of our countries and every time they draw an increasing interest from our fraternal peoples and the international community as a whole. This is absolutely fair, since this authoritative international platform contributes to solving issues not only interstate or regional but also international ones ," Natalia Kochanova said.
"Traditionally, the CIS IPA events are distinguished by openness, goodwill, sincere interest in the overall result and, very importantly, high efficiency," the speaker emphasized. “The mission of the CIS IPA is to further the development of the CIS member states. The agenda features difficult, comprehensive topics. After all, the improvement of the regulatory framework in the field of ecology and nature management to one degree or another affects all aspects of life without exception. Planet Earth is our common home, and it is our responsibility to preserve it for future generations."
