MINSK, 15 June (BelTA) – The People's Liberation Army of China has sent antiepidemic aid to the armed forces of a number of countries, including Belarus, Xinhua reports.
According to the source, upon request of the armed forces of six countries, including Belarus, Serbia, Hungary, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Trinidad and Tobago, the People's Liberation Army of China sent protective suits, medical masks, and other antiepidemic means by rail, by sea, and by other means of transportation to these armed forces on 13 June. The shipments were approved by the Central Military Commission of China.
Four cargoes were previously delivered from China to Belarus upon decisions of the president and the government. For instance, an IL-76 aircraft of the Belarusian Defense Ministry delivered 22 tonnes of medical goods to the country on 2 June. The cargo contained 100 oxygen concentrators. During the previous flight on 13 May a Belarusian IL-76 aircraft delivered respirators, test kits and express test kits, equipment for manufacturing Belarusian respirators, oxygen saturation monitors, remote-sensing thermometers, protective suits, and 11 artificial lungs.
A total of over 100 tonnes of humanitarian aid was delivered from Belarus to China by four flights.
