BRSM Youth Union to participate in youth forum in Uzbekistan

MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – A delegation of the BRSM Youth Union is taking part in an Uzbekistan-Belarus youth forum, BelTA learned from head of the international protocol of the BRSM Central Committee Olesya Sazankova.

The program of the forum includes sessions on various topics: cultural, humanitarian, and regional cooperation, patriotism, youth policy, information technology, entrepreneurship, and volunteering. “In particular, the program of the forum includes six sessions: Information technology, mobile services, and robotics; Information technology; Youth policy: implementation and mechanisms of improvement; Youth entrepreneurship. Secondary employment of youth; Volunteer movement. Youth social projects; Twinning. Youth tourism,” Olesya Sazankova said. Moreover, participants of the event will study Uzbekistan's practices of preserving traditions and cultural heritage.

The Uzbekistan-Belarus youth forum is running in the cities of Tashkent and Khiva on 18-23 November. The forum has brought together representatives of government agencies, cultural facilities, and educational institutions, leaders of children's and youth organizations, and IT specialists. The official opening ceremony will be held on 19 November.

The BRSM Youth Union and the Youth Union of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of cooperation in December 2018. The unions aim to build and strengthen ties between the youth of the two countries. The youth unions also signed a cooperation plan in information and communications technology on the margins of the 1st Youth IT Forum of Belarus and Uzbekistan that took place in Minsk in August 2019.
