MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – The 38th Brest Independent Guards Air Assault Brigade is hosting a complex live-exercise exercise designed to check skills of reconnaissance units, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The scouts have to demonstrate that their military medicine skills, tactical skills, engineering skills, and chemical, biological, and radiological protection skills are up to the established standards. The final stage featuring live fire took place in a kill house (an indoor environment for practicing close contact engagements) and in an outdoor firing range.

The military personnel training practice borrows heavily from the experience of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.

Combat operations in population centers, the liberation of such centers, and the advancing of army units were in focus.

The reconnaissance units go through combat drills five times a week. They go out to a military exercise area every month. The units demonstrate a high level of cohesion and are ready to carry out missions.
