Brest Oblast to showcase its tourist potential in Poland

BREST, 17 October (BelTA) – The tourist potential of Belarus' Brest Oblast will be presented at the World Travel Show 2019 that will be running near the Polish capital on 18-20 October, head of the tourism division of the sport and tourism department of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Denis Nikityuk told BelTA.

The delegation of Brest Oblast will comprise representatives of the sport and tourism department of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee, the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park, spa resorts Nadzeya, Ruzhansky, Berestye, Chabarok and Bug, some ten travel agencies, Hermitage Hotel and the agro-tourist cluster Mukhovetska Kumora. Brest Oblast and Grodno Oblast will showcase their services on the joint stand.

“The focus will be on the presentation of new opportunities to visit the Brest-Grodno visa-free area. We will also offer visitors new packages that include health-improvement, nostalgic, gastronomic and informative tourism in Brest Oblast. Talks will be held with the city of Lodz, Lublin and Podlasie provinces on the implementation of joint tourism and hospitality projects under EU programs,” Denis Nikityuk said.

In general, from October to April representatives of Brest Oblast are expected to take part in more than ten trade shows in Poland, the Baltic states, Ukraine, Russia, and Central Asia.

Since the start of 2019 Brest Oblast has been visited by more than 200,000 tourists. Over 25,000 citizens of 66 countries took advantage of Belarus' visa-free rules. The majority of travelers came from Poland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and the Netherlands. Tourists come to the region for three days and more on average.
