Belavia to launch direct flight to Georgia's Kutaisi on 4 August

MINSK, 21 July (BelTA) - The Belarusian air carrier Belavia will perform its first regular flight Minsk-Kutaisi-Minsk on 4 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the airline.

Kutaisi will become the third Georgian city on Belavia's flight map. Flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Sundays, with departure from Minsk at 9:35 and arrival at Kutaisi International Airport at 13:35. Return flights to Minsk National Airport are scheduled at 14:25 with the arrival time in the Belarusian capital at 16:30. Time for all airports is local. The minimum Light fare is €85 one way and €169 round-trip.

Passengers will travel to Kutaisi on Embraer 175 aircraft with a capacity of 76 passengers, 12 seats in Business Class and 64 in Economy Class. More spacious aircraft will be used if the route is popular. Travel time is about three hours.

The cost of tickets is planned to be lower than those to Batumi and Tbilisi during the season,” said Director General of Belavia Igor Cherginets.

Belavia is the largest air carrier in Belarus. It was established on 5 March 1996. Belavia joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 1997 and the European Regions Airline Association (ERAA) in 2010. At present, its fleet includes 29 aircraft (one Boeing 737-8, nine Boeing 737-800, one Boeing 737-500, three Boeing 737-300, five Embraer-175, seven Embraer-195, and three Embraer 195-E2).
