Belavia reveals its most popular flash sale destinations

MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – Moscow, Tbilisi and Kaliningrad topped the list of the most popular destinations booked during the flash sale on Belavia's website, BelTA learned from the air carrier.

The sale kicked off on the company's website www.belavia.by at 8.30 on 16 October and was over at 8.30 on 17 October. Flight deals were available to all the company's destinations. The fares started from €20 plus taxes and charges for return tickets and €15 plus taxes and charges for one-way tickets.

“More than 60,000 tickets were sold just in one day. The most popular destinations were Moscow, Tbilisi and Kaliningrad. The cheapest return flight was to Moscow (Zhukovsky airport), it cost €28.56,” the company informed.

“Moscow was the biggest hit. This time 4,650 tickets to this destination were sold. It was followed by Georgia's capital with 4,294 tickets sold (the return ticket cost €84.14). Kaliningrad was the third most popular destination with 3,551 tickets sold (€34.56). The top five also featured Saint Petersburg (€54,56) and Nur-Sultan (€73,65).

Tickets to a number of European destinations were sold out within two hours after the start of the sale. Those were Larnaca, Barcelona, Milan, Rome and Prague. Return tickets to these cities cost from €75 to €110.

According to Belavia Director General Anatoly Gusarov, the airline will soon offer new deals for passengers traveling without luggage.

Belavia is Belarus' biggest air carrier. Based in Minsk National Airport, it offers regular flights to 55 destinations in 29 countries. The company operates a fleet of 30 aircraft (seven Boeing 737-800, six Boeing 737-500, five Boeing 737-300 jets, four Embraer 175 aircraft, six Embraers 195 and two CRJ-200).
