Belarusian UAVs on display in UAE

MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) – The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) presented a number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) during the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) 2018 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the NASB press service told BelTA.

The Belarusian exposition featured the batch-produced UAVs Busel M40, Busel M50, Burevestnik, Burevestnik MB, a dirigible-type UAV, and a control station for training UAV operators and analyzing UAV telemetry. The Belarusian prototype UAV Yastreb, which can carry up to 120kg of payload, was also on display. Visitors showed strong interest in the technology for designing and manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes. They were also interested in UAV applications. The high standards and tactical parameters of Belarusian UAVs were praised.

The Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) 2018 was arranged under the auspices of the royal prince of Abu Dhabi, deputy commander-in-chief of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with support of the General Staff of the UAE Armed Forces. Experts, researchers and specialists took part in the expo. They saw the latest R&D products in the area of unmanned aerial vehicles. Over 120 companies from 34 countries presented their products in the sphere of aerial, marine, and ground-based UAV systems.
