Belarusian student wins International Essay Contest in Russia's Pskov

MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – The third-year student of the journalism department of Belarusian State University Vitaliya Krichevskaya has won the International Essay Contest in Russian's Pskov, BelTA has learned from the press service of the university.

Her essay was voted best among other 67 participants' essays. The assistant professor of the literary and arts criticism chair Ekaterina Loktevich was the tutor of the student.

The runners up of the contest are the students of the Russian gymnasium of Haabersti (Tallinn, Estonia) Ksenia Superova and Francysk Skaryna Polotsk state grammar school No.1 Milana Bogatyreva. The student of Pskov State University Wang Jixing took the third prize.

Two more students of the journalism department of Belarusian State University Tatyana Papsueva and Ksenia Sitnik won the other two categories of the contest.

The contest was held among students of the schools, lyceums, gymnasia and universities of Belarus, Estonia, Latvia and Russia. The event was organzied by the Evgeny Maimin Science and Education Centre of the Russian language and culture of Pskov State University and the Association of Humanitarian Culture.
