Belarusian, Russian military in skydiving championship in Pskov Oblast

MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – Representatives of the Belarusian army are taking part in an open skydiving championship of the Russian Armed Forces. The championship is scheduled to take place at premises of the 76th Guards Airborne Division near Pskov, Russia, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The competition has gathered about 100 top-notch skydivers, who will take the plunge from a Mi-8 helicopter at altitudes ranging from 1km to 3km above the ground.

The Belarusian army is represented by specialists of the special operations forces. The parachutists will compete as individuals and as teams. They will have to demonstrate precision landing and group aerobatics. The competition represents an excellent opportunity to share the best practices between athletes.
