
MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) - The Belarusian-Russian school of Union State leaders was launched in Minsk on 22 May. The program has brought together 31 participants from Belarus and Russia, BelTA learned from Sergei Palagin, director of the Center for Analysis and Forecasting of Union State Integration.
The event has been organized by the Center for Analysis and Forecasting of Union State Integration in partnership with the Gorchakov Fund. "Our participants are representatives of Belarus and Russia who are engaged in the integration processes in the Union State: MPs, representatives of public organizations, graduate students and undergraduates. We see that young people are increasingly active in developing the integration and promoting their initiatives," Sergei Palagin noted.
The program attaches special attention to cooperation in four areas: education, entrepreneurship, volunteering and parliamentarism. The lectures will be given by experts involved in the integration processes in the Union State at different levels and in different fields. The lectures will cover a wide range of topics. Workshops will focus mainly on business competencies, including negotiation and communication management skills. "The participants are to draft recommendations on ways of advancing cooperation between Belarus and Russia in these four areas. This draft will be presented in the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the Federation Council and the Standing Committee of the Union State," Sergei Palagin said.
