MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – Belarusian paratroopers will take part in a Belarusian-Russian-Serbian tactical exercise Slavonic Brotherhood 2018. The exercise will take place in the firing range Rayevsky of the 7th Guards Air Assault Division in Russia on 18-29 June, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The active phase of the army exercise is scheduled for 26-28 June. A battalion of the 103rd Independent Guards Airborne Brigade left Belarus for Novorossiysk on 11 June. The Belarusian side will be represented by about 250 military personnel during the exercise. Skydiving from high altitudes (over 2,000m) and over great distances (up to 50km) will be a peculiarity of the exercise.
Belarusian, Russian, and Serbian military personnel will work together to practice combat against terrorism. The military personnel will be able to share the best approaches to carrying out counterterrorism tasks, improve combat cohesion, morale, combat skills, and psychological resilience.
