Belarusian military to take part in Slavic Brotherhood drills

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – The Slavic Brotherhood 2018 tactical exercise in Novorossiysk, Russia will feature Russian paratroopers, Belarusian and Serbian servicemen, BelTA learned from TASS that quoted Andrey Serdyukov, the Russian Armed Forces colonel general and commander of the Russian Airborne Troops.

“The Slavic Brotherhood drills will take place in Novorossiysk jointly with the Belarusian and Serbian counterparts. It will be the fourth tactical exercise of the format,” said Andrey Serdyukov.

In his words, among the priority areas in military cooperation are the contacts with the CSTO member states. “The Russian Federation and Belarus host regular joint military exercises with the participation of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. Four drills are scheduled for 2018,” the commander added.
