MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – A delegation of the Financial Investigations Department of the State Control Committee of Belarus is in Georgia on an official visit to discuss priority avenues of cooperation with the Investigation Service of the Georgian Finance Ministry, the committee's representatives told BelTA.
The sides are expected to work out joint measures to counteract tax (financial) offences and corruption crimes in the sphere of economy. Ways to counteract tax evasion and unjustified VAT refunds will be discussed as well as ways to suppress illegal trade in excisable goods, detect violations in the sphere of government procurement.
Apart from that, the Belarusian delegation intends to study how Georgian colleagues use information technologies in their daily work.
