Belarusian embassy reveals changes in Cuba entry rules

MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) - The Belarusian embassy revealed changes in the rules of entry to the Republic of Cuba amid COVID-19 situation, BelTA has learned.

“As of 1 April 2022, Cuba lifted restrictions imposed in connection with the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus. Foreign nationals will not have to present a certificate of complete vaccination at the point of entry, as well as a certificate with a negative PCR test,” the embassy said.

Belarus and Cuba established diplomatic relations in April 1992. In May 1997, Cuban trade mission in Belarus was converted into an embassy. In November 1998, Belarus opened its embassy in Cuba. It was the first diplomatic mission in Latin America and the Caribbean. Cuba is an important partner of Belarus in the international arena and one of its most important allies in the Western Hemisphere. Both countries maintain an active political dialogue at the highest level.
