MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) - OAO Elema, the Belarusian largest manufacturer of women's apparel, plans to make 30,000 masks per shift, director of the company Anatoly Venediktov told BelTA.
“Now we produce about 20,000 masks per shift. In the future, we intend to ramp up the production to 30,000,” Anatoly Venediktov said. “We make masks on the request of legal entities, pharmacies, including health care institutions,” he added.
OAO Elema started sewing masks last week and has already made about 40,000 pieces.
Many companies in Belarus have started manufacturing face masks. Many other light industry enterprises have expressed their willingness to start producing masks if necessary
