MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Belarus' Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues the social media campaign in the run-up to the Independence Day and invites everyone to share the stories of their family members - heroes of the Great Patriotic War, BelTA has learned.

Several well-known Belarusian diplomats have already shared their stories in the video that has been uploaded to the MFA's social media page. “Given the huge number of people who perished during the war it is easy to forget about the personal contribution to the Victory of every soldier, worker, doctor or mothers who lost their most precious thing in the war - their children! But the story of each of those who did not spare themselves on the battlefield and on the home front, who gave away their today for us to have tomorrow is very important,” the ministry said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the huge feat of the nation consists of small but important personal feats. “All week long ahead of the Independence Day of Belarus, we will share the family stories of our diplomats, will post video greetings and messages from the staff and friends of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” the ministry promised.

Belarusian diplomats also invite people to share the stories of their family heroes, write relevant posts under hashtag #BY75 to make sure no story is neglected.
