Belarusian Defense Ministry talks about scheduled combat training events

MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – Belarusian army units are engaged in a number of scheduled combat training events, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry website.

As part of preparations for an integrated tactical exercise in the Grodno tactical direction motorized infantry units of the 6th Independent Mechanized Brigade will have to set up a battalion-level defense area and are busy doing tactical training. Airborne units and tank units are taking part in scheduled combat training events.

Reconnaissance units of the 11th Independent Mechanized Brigade are in the field carrying out reconnaissance missions. Units of the 465th Missile Brigade and the 336th Reactive Artillery Brigade are occupied by combat training. Some of the units are on combat duty and focus on planned targets.

Motorized infantry units and tank units of the 6th Independent Mechanized Brigade are passing weapons training exams in the 230th combined-arms exercise area Obuz-Lesnovsky.

A motorized infantry battalion and reinforcements of the 19th Independent Mechanized Brigade are engaged in a battalion-level tactical exercise with live fire in the Borisovsky exercise area.

Yak-130 aircraft are flown in order to protect the state border in air space. Unmanned aerial drones are used to monitor the situation. Radio warfare units are busy carrying out reconnaissance missions.
