MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – The Defense Ministry is carrying out a test of combat readiness and mobilization readiness, BelTA has learned.
A combat and mobilization readiness test is in progress in the 25th arsenal of missile and artillery weapons under the leadership of the deputy defense minister for arms, chief of arms of the Armed Forces. About 170 reservists will be recalled to active service in order to set up an independent repair and restoration battalion as part of the test.
The battalion will have to march to the 227th combined arms exercise area. The battalion will set up a depot for defective vehicles over there. The personnel will have to practice routine repairs and intermediate-level maintenance of weapons, military hardware, and special hardware of Belarusian army units in field conditions.
