MINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Defense Minister, Major-General Viktor Khrenin will take part in a joint meeting of the defense ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states in Moscow on 4 September, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian defense minister is expected to present a report on international and regional security, consolidation of efforts to prevent wars and armed conflicts, and further enhancement of military cooperation in modern conditions.
The visit will reaffirm Belarus' commitments within the framework of the international organizations. It will also promote further gradual advancement of military cooperation taking into account national interests and priorities.
