
MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – The aircraft with Belarusian combat medics on board is en route to Syria to help the earthquake victims, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian head of state gave an instruction to provide assistance to the victims of the earthquake in Syria. A medical emergency crew was put together. They departed to Syria on board the Russian aircraft Il-76MD.


The emergency response team includes 45 combat medics. They will provide humanitarian and medical assistance to the victims of the devastating earthquake. The relief team will set up a field hospital within a day. The combat medics include surgeons, therapists and anesthesiologists.
