
MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – In line with the Northwestern Operational Command's training plan for the academic year of 2022-2023 a joint headquarters exercise has been launched under the guidance of the commanding officer Aleksandr Naumenko to practice the application of the Northwestern Operational Command's forces in a defensive operation, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The purpose of the exercise is to improve cohesion of command bodies and units of the Northwestern Operational Command up to a level sufficient for effective and quality work at the stage of planning a defensive operation.
The joint headquarters exercise is taking place at permanent stations of the army units. It will become one of the steps in training officers of the Northwestern Operational Command's command bodies. The exercise is supposed to hone their professional skills and the ability to plan the deployment of subordinate units on the basis of an analysis of results of modern armed conflicts, including Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
