Belarusian army representative to go to Romania on inspection tour

MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – A representative of the Belarusian army will take join a Ukrainian group of inspectors and will travel to Romania in order to inspect a declared site in line with the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe Treaty, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The inspectors will choose one Romanian army unit to inspect in accordance with provisions of the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe Treaty. The inspectors will then have to verify that the amount of weapons and military hardware on site matches the declared numbers.

Apart from that, a representative of the Belarusian army will act as an instructor during the practical part of an arms control training course for British inspectors in the UK on 19-23 November.
