Belarusian army officers off to Estonia on inspection tour

MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Representatives of the Belarusian army will inspect a designated area in Estonia on 13-16 November, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The inspectors will have to confirm the absence of military activities in the designated area, which are subject to preliminary notification as part of the 2011 Vienna Document on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures.

An inspection team from Germany will visit the 103rd Independent Airborne Brigade in order to evaluate the information Belarus has provided to the OSCE member states as part of the 2011 Vienna Document. The information includes personnel numbers, the main weapon systems, and military hardware numbers. Apart from four inspectors from Germany the team includes one inspector from Hungary.
