
MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) - Last year, the State Authority for Military Industry supplied the Armed Forces with more than 500 models of new weapons, Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry Dmitry Pantus told the media on the sidelines of the collegium meeting, BelTA has has learned.
Taking into account the military-political situation and close cooperation with the Defense Ministry, the State Authority for Military Industry pays close attention to the demand for its products in the Belarusian army, Dmitry Pantus noted.

"Developments across the areas in which the Belarusian military-industrial complex has been traditionally strong are in demand. Last year, we fulfilled the state defense procurement order to the full. We have supplied the Armed Forces with more than 500 new models of various types of weapons, military and special-purpose equipment. Our focus was on the priority things that are in demand in our Armed Forces," Dmitry Pantus said.











According to him, many different means of communication were supplied. This is the sector where the State Authority for Military Industry holds strong positions. "We also carried out major repairs of various types of hardware. As for new developments, we worked on more than 180 experimental design developments. Some 21 works were completed. Of these, eight products were put into service," Dmitry Pantus concluded.
