Belarus waives visas for all foreigners fleeing hostilities in Ukraine until 15 April

MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) - Belarus has waived the visa requirement for all foreign nationals who are fleeing hostilities in Ukraine until 15 April, press secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anatoly Glaz told the media in Minsk on 23 March, BelTA has learned.

"In connection with the ongoing crisis, the country's leadership has decided, on an exceptional basis, to allow visa-free entry to Belarus from Ukraine, stay and subsequent departure from Belarus for both Ukrainians and citizens of other foreign states fleeing the combat zone through our country. The visa waiver will be in force until April 15 of this year," Anatoly Glaz said.

He expressed the hope that this decision will facilitate safe return of citizens of the country of residence, enable many of them to reunite with their families both in Belarus and abroad.
