Belarus' University of Civil Protection shows interest in continuing cooperation with UAE

MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Belarus Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Almusharrekh visited the University of Civil Protection at the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus, BelTA learned from the ministry.

The ambassador got familiar with the training programs for rescuers and met with Deputy Emergencies Minister Sergei Salanovich.

The ambassador was briefed about the 90-year history of the university and was shown the educational and laboratory facilities and scientific developments. The parties also discussed the cooperation in training of specialists from the UAE at the Institute for Retraining and Professional Development at the University of Civil Protection.

A total of 183 specialists from the UAE have undertaken training at the university's branch, the Institute for Retraining and Professional Development, located in Borisov District.
