Belarus, UNICEF discuss practical aspects of cooperation

MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich has met with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Representative in Belarus Tanja Radocaj to discuss cooperation between Belarus and UNICEF, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Yuri Ambrazevich emphasized the importance of cooperation with UNICEF for Belarus. UNICEF is an important partner of the Belarusian government when it comes to improving national policies and practices aimed at promoting child and adolescent development, defending their rights, empowering them, and improving the efficiency of public administration policies.

Tanja Radocaj reaffirmed UNICEF's commitment to providing assistance to Belarus within its mandate with long-term projects and in urgent situations. She noted that UNICEF joined the efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian refugees arriving in Belarus.
