MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – Deputy heads of the border authorities of Belarus and Ukraine met in Brest Oblast to sign plans on border maintenance, BelTA has learned from the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
The working meeting of the delegations of Belarus and Ukraine took place in the village of Kamenuki, Kamenets District. The delegations were led by deputy heads of the border authorities: First Deputy Chairman of the State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus Igor Butkevich and First Deputy Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Vasyl Servatiuk. “The delegations signed a plan on engineer and technical maintenance of Belarus-Ukraine state border and a plan on the joint special border operation Polesye 2019. The parties also signed a document on the cooperation of the border authorities of Belarus and Ukraine during the demarcation work on the border,” the State Border Committee said.
The participants of the meeting exchanged plans and prospects for cooperation between the border authorities, discussed the cooperation procedure during the demarcation work on the border including the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
