MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) - Chief of the General Staff, First Deputy Defense Minister Major-General Oleg Belokonev of Belarus met with Chief of the General Staff - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Ruslan Homchak, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.
The parties exchanged views on the regional security status, risks and challenges for each of the states. The prospects for bilateral military cooperation were also discussed.
Oleg Belokonev stressed that Belarus will continue to strive to maintain good-neighborly relations, faithfully implement all commitments both in terms of international military cooperation and also arms control.
