MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) - The cross-sector commission for time, frequency and the Earth rotation measurements will be set up in Belarus. Relevant Resolution No.594 of the Council of Ministers of 16 October 2020 has been officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.
The commission will be a permanent body. It will coordinate the work related to time measurement in Belarus, the use of standard frequency and time measurement instruments and also the instruments to determine the Earth rotation parameters.
The commission will also prepare legislative proposals related to the time measurement in Belarus.
Dmitry Bartashevich, deputy chairman of the State Committee on Standardization, will head the commission. It will also include representatives of the Belarusian State Institute of Meteorology, the Scientific and Practical Center of Hygiene, Belarusian Railways, the Communications and Informatization Ministry, the Institute of Physics, the National State Broadcasting Company, and OAO Giprosvyaz.
