MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – The construction of new homes will continue to increase, Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich told the media following the meeting hosted by Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 14 August to discuss topical issues regarding the operation and efficiency of the construction industry, BelTA has learned.
The minister said that the president supported the ministry's proposals in part of housing construction. “Approaches were supported to increase the construction of new homes for large families and people in need of better housing,” Ruslan Parkhamovich said.
In his words, plans are in place to gradually increase the construction of new homes within the next five years. This includes the construction of rented housing, and homes with the use of electricity for heating, hot water supply and food cooking.
In order to expand the opportunities for citizens to purchase housing, a new decree on the national system of housing construction savings has been drafted. The document will soon be submitted to the head of state.
